Founder | Rooibos Devotee | Midlife Skin

When I was diagnosed with Panic Disorder in 2015, my life changed. I stepped away from my PhD in law and a thriving human rights consultancy to navigate a new normal. My already sensitive skin became severely reactive, sending me deep into research on how stress and life’s cycles affect the skin. Inspired by Rooibos, my favorite South African ingredient, I earned my certificate in cosmetic chemistry and created FIGGI — a brand rooted in calm, connection, and original formulation. I now live in Portugal with my husband, daughter, and two Labradors, and am learning to be fully present in my life.

I knew I wanted to be part of FIGGI the moment I met Jeanne. We connected instantly, and I was drawn to the calm, honest mission behind the brand. I’m newly married and live in Scotland with my husband and our dachshund, Cash. I’m especially excited that FIGGI has expanded to Europe — it brings me one step closer to my dream of moving to Spain! Why Rooibos Tea?

Rooibos is a naturally caffeine-free herb found only in South Africa’s Cederberg Mountains. For generations, it has been steeped into tea, loved for its earthy flavour and calming properties. But Rooibos holds deeper power — rich in antioxidants and polyphenols that help soothe, protect, and visibly reduce redness in the skin.
